Pico’s latest VR controllers have been leaked online the credit for which goes to the Twitter user “SkarredGhost”. As is evident from the images, the overall design has gone for a major overhaul. For instance, the induction ring is no longer sitting on top of the device. Instead, as Pandaily put it, the ring is now running through the entire controller. This makes things look more ergonomic and user-friendly by providing a better feel and grip. It is also expected to be more accurate in spatial positioning.

The device has also been spotted at the FCC site earlier where it was revealed to come preloaded with Android Q. The FCC listing also mentions the existence of two products – the standalone Pico 4 VR headset and the Pico 4 Pro which has face and eye tracking features built-in. All of this point to the imminent launch of the Pico 4 controller which seems poised for a global launch as well.

Pico had earlier announced its merger with Bytedance and has since been focussing on enhancing its global footprint. The company also has offices in Tokyo, San Francisco, Barcelona, and greater Seoul. Besides, the company also has a distribution department in North America that it has named Pico Studios. The company had also launched its newest headset, the Pico Neo Link 3 in France in April this year. The headset is set for launch in several European countries like Germany, France, Spain, and the Netherlands before it reaches other parts of the world.
