Netflix will be releasing a VR version of its popular TV series Stranger Things, the website mixed-news reported. It is going to be a psychological horror and action series where the user would be pitched in the role of the antagonist Vecna. No wonder, users will find themselves right in the thick of things with all the action unfolding around them. It is going to be like experiencing the series Stranger Things while also being part of it as well, having a first-hand experience of Vecna plotting his revenge against Eleven and Hawkins along with so much more.

What is also great with the upcoming VR game is that it is being created by the well-known Developer studio Tender Claws and are themselves great fans of the Netflix series. That way, you can be rest assured of the upcoming game to be the most authentic version of the series that you will perhaps ever come across.

“We are awed that we get to live within the Stranger Things universe and dive into the rich inner worlds of its characters through Tender Claws’ unique approach to nested worlds and immersive dreamscapes,” said Tender Claws directors Samantha Gorman and Danny Cannizzaro in a joint prepared statement. “As fans, we want this game to be very special and we are energized by the support and enthusiasm we’ve received from Netflix and the Stranger Things creative team.”

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that Netflix is treading into the VR world. Previously, we have seen the streaming giant come up with a VR experience in the Stranger Things universe. The company also offers a VR app that lets viewers to watch the Netflix shows in the virtual world though the app hasn’t been updated in a long. However, with Stranger Things VR, Netflix is delving into the VR world like it has never done before and is being seen as an attempt to have on offer a more diverse range of media offerings.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in the world of technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles as well, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. Motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot and maybe I’ll make a film sometime in the future.
