Black Friday is just days away and HTC has revealed it has some nice deals on its AR/VR headsets to make the season all the more enjoyable and fun. The prices mentioned are the lowest it has ever been for the HTC Vive Flow glasses. That is not all as opting for the Vive Pro and Vive Pro 2 will let you have free access to VivePort Infinity for an entire year. For those who might need an introduction, Viveport Infinity happens to be one of the best subscription services for VR games. Further, procuring the headsets from the official Vibe website will fetch you the Vive Racket Sports Set completely free of cost.
Coming to the deals, the HTC Vive VR headset is now being sold for £379 via Amazon UK, something that would normally cost £499. The headset is also unique in that it isn’t the most elaborate out there, which makes it easy to have it on even for longer periods. However, the compact proportions also mean it lacks several features. That said, those shouldn’t prevent you from playing games or watching movies using the headset. All of this makes the HTC Vive VR headset quite an alluring option though there also is the Oculus Quest 2 from Meta that you might want to check out.
Then there is the Vive Pro 2 Full Kit that is selling for £1,199 via the official Vive site. The discount though is nominal considering that the original price is £1,299. However, the saving you make is still quite decent considering that you get a year-long free subscription to VivePort Infinity, something that would have cost you £107.88. Plus, you are also getting the Vive Racket Sports Set for free, which usually costs another around £70.
Then there also is the Vive Pro Full Kit that too is being offered for a hefty discount. The headset is now selling for £719 via Vive.com, which is £200 less than the £919 that it usually costs. Plus, there also are the same benefits as the ones you get from the Vive Pro 2 that comes bundled with the Vibe Pro as well. That includes a free one-year subscription to VivePort Infinity worth £107.88 along with the Vive Racket Sports Set that costs another £70. So, if you don’t mind opting for the previous generation Vibe Pro, this could be the best deal you will perhaps ever have. It boasts solid performance and features even though the entire thing is a bit cumbersome.
The Oculus Quest 2 is also getting a nice discount this season. It’s an extremely capable device that is being sold for £349. The deal also includes two free games – Resident Evil 4 and Beat Saber.
The Pico 4 VR headset is another option that you might want to consider. It comes across as an extremely competitive headset which however isn’t getting a price cut – being sold at £379 but is bundled with three games for free. Those include the RuinsMagus, After the Fall, and Les Mills BodyCombat.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in the world of technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles as well, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. Motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot and maybe I’ll make a film sometime in the future.
